Adoptable Kids

Adopting a child can be a rewarding and lifechanging experience. The Division of Children and Family Services is looking for families or single adults from all backgrounds who want to give a safe, loving, permanent home to children who need a family.

  • Most children waiting for adoption are African American and Caucasian children ages 10 and older.
  • Many are sibling groups who need to stay together, teenagers, or children who have special needs (including physical, emotional or mental disabilities).
  • Adoptive families can include relatives, single parents, and same sex couples.

Please take a look at our wonderful Adoptable Kids.

  • If you are a licensed Foster Caregiver or approved Adoptive Family requesting information about a specific child submit an inquiry and we’ll follow up with you.
  • If you are not a licensed Foster Caregiver or approved Adoptive Family please submit this interest form and we’ll get back to you.

Zachary

My name is Zachary, and I am in the first grade. I enjoy playing with the other children in my class and learning new things. I also enjoy singing. I attend church weekly, and I enjoy doing activities at my church. Playing instruments is my favorite part, I play the drums. When I get dressed in the morning, I always like to choose my dressy clothes, like the clothes I wear to church.

In addition to my great style and musical talents, I also have several hobbies. I love reading. My favorite books are Spiderman and Superman. I enjoy playing with my toys and letting my imagination soar. My favorite character/cartoon is Paw Patrol, and my favorite superhero is Spiderman. I love playing at the park, being in water and going on family outings. I’m athletic too. I like sports especially when I get to run around and throw a ball.

My favorite sports are soccer and basketball.

I enjoy spending time with my foster mother and siblings. If you have room in your heart for me and are willing to maintain my relationship with my foster mother, contact my worker today!
