Adoptable Kids
Adopting a child can be a rewarding and lifechanging experience. The Division of Children and Family Services is looking for families or single adults from all backgrounds who want to give a safe, loving, permanent home to children who need a family.
- Most children waiting for adoption are African American and Caucasian children ages 10 and older.
- Many are sibling groups who need to stay together, teenagers, or children who have special needs (including physical, emotional or mental disabilities).
- Adoptive families can include relatives, single parents, and same sex couples.

Colleone
August 2008Colleone is a typical fifteen-year-old boy. Colleone is a loving, sensitive, all-around teenage boy. Colleone loves to help others and has a genuine caring heart. Playing sports is Colleone’s favorite things to do. His favorite sport is Football, then Basketball and then Track. Colleone would love to play in the NFL when he gets through high school and college. Colleone says if he is not able to be an NFL football player, his goal and dream career would be a nurse and possible be a pediatric Oncology nurse.
