Adoptable Kids

Adopting a child can be a rewarding and lifechanging experience. The Division of Children and Family Services is looking for families or single adults from all backgrounds who want to give a safe, loving, permanent home to children who need a family.

  • Most children waiting for adoption are African American and Caucasian children ages 10 and older.
  • Many are sibling groups who need to stay together, teenagers, or children who have special needs (including physical, emotional or mental disabilities).
  • Adoptive families can include relatives, single parents, and same sex couples.

A'Choice, A’ Journie, and A’ Legend

A'Choice is a respectful and very intelligent young man who is determined to succeed. A’Choice is looking to join the Army after he graduates from high school. A’Choice is also interested in welding, construction, and barbering and is looking forward to a bright future. A’Choice enjoys playing video games, surfing the internet, and playing football.

A’ Journie is an energetic child who is fascinated with computers and gaming systems. He has taught himself the fundamentals of cyber security to learn how to prevent, detect, and identify the risk that are involved within our current cyber world. He is a resilient child who is determined and confident. A’ Journie continues to apply himself academically so he can one day work in the tech industry.

A’ Legend is a beautiful little girl who adores her brothers and remains the queen of the family. She leaves behind an unforgettable impression on everybody that she meets. A’ Legend loves playing with her dolls and electronic games. She is friendly and energetic and enjoys riding her bike outside. A ‘Legend is looking forward to starting kindergarten and making new friends. A ‘Legend’s name has a wonderful meaning of a mythical or semi-mythical story passed down from generations.
