Adoptable Kids
Adopting a child can be a rewarding and lifechanging experience. The Division of Children and Family Services is looking for families or single adults from all backgrounds who want to give a safe, loving, permanent home to children who need a family.
- Most children waiting for adoption are African American and Caucasian children ages 10 and older.
- Many are sibling groups who need to stay together, teenagers, or children who have special needs (including physical, emotional or mental disabilities).
- Adoptive families can include relatives, single parents, and same sex couples.

Zy’raye
May 2017Zy’raye is an energetic and playful youth. He is very articulate and expressive, is very personable, and he has a great sense of humor. He likes school and makes friends easily. Zy’raye enjoys superheroes, video games, comic book characters, and anime. Zy’raye likes to help others and is very helpful in the home and does well with younger children. He does well in expressing his needs. Zy’raye enjoys playing basketball and football and has expressed interest in boxing training. At a recent career day event he expressed interest in becoming a police officer when he is older. He is looking forward to sharing his love, excitement, and joy in a forever home, with a forever family.
