Adoptable Kids
Adopting a child can be a rewarding and lifechanging experience. The Division of Children and Family Services is looking for families or single adults from all backgrounds who want to give a safe, loving, permanent home to children who need a family.
- Most children waiting for adoption are African American and Caucasian children ages 10 and older.
- Many are sibling groups who need to stay together, teenagers, or children who have special needs (including physical, emotional or mental disabilities).
- Adoptive families can include relatives, single parents, and same sex couples.

Meet Jaylen! She is an active fun-loving teenager who enjoys hanging out with friends at home and school. Jaylen loves fashion and has a style of her own. She also likes to sing. Jaylen likes to cook and would be a great sous chef in the kitchen. She thrives from positive reinforcement to help keep her encouraged and on track. She can be quiet at first but will warm up once she gets to know you.
Jaylen is still in contact with her biological family, and it is important to her to maintain those relationships. She is ready to be a part of an accepting, caring, and supportive family.
