Adoptable Kids

Adopting a child can be a rewarding and lifechanging experience. The Division of Children and Family Services is looking for families or single adults from all backgrounds who want to give a safe, loving, permanent home to children who need a family.

  • Most children waiting for adoption are African American and Caucasian children ages 10 and older.
  • Many are sibling groups who need to stay together, teenagers, or children who have special needs (including physical, emotional or mental disabilities).
  • Adoptive families can include relatives, single parents, and same sex couples.

Please take a look at our wonderful Adoptable Kids.

  • If you are a licensed Foster Caregiver or approved Adoptive Family requesting information about a specific child submit an inquiry and we’ll follow up with you.
  • If you are not a licensed Foster Caregiver or approved Adoptive Family please submit this interest form and we’ll get back to you.

Meet Jaylen!  She is an active fun-loving teenager who enjoys hanging out with friends at home and school.  Jaylen loves fashion and has a style of her own.  She also likes to sing.  Jaylen likes to cook and would be a great sous chef in the kitchen. She also enjoys cosmetology and is quite skilled at doing hair, applying make-up and lashes.  She thrives from positive reinforcement to help keep her encouraged and on track.  She can be quiet at first but will warm up once she gets to know you. She is very mature, easy going, and has a heart of gold. She is very goal oriented and

Jaylen is still in contact with her biological family, and it is important to her to maintain those relationships. She is ready to be a part of an accepting, caring, and supportive family.  She would also benefit from a family who is patient, nurturing, and can provide her with unconditional love and encouragement to help her continue to thrive.  Could this be you?
