Cuyahoga County is looking to use the innovative Pay for Success model to launch a new program aimed at helping local veterans successfully complete their college education and find in-demand jobs.

The way the topic of aging is addressed in Cuyahoga County will get a refresh, as the Cuyahoga County Division of Senior and Adult Services hosts a public discussion on reframing aging in November.

As part of an $800,000 expansion this past summer, the Cuyahoga County Division of Senior and Adult Services (DSAS) has additional funding to assist seniors and disabled adults in Cuyahoga County with more home delivered-meals.

Cuyahoga Job and Family Services (CJFS) has announced the Ohio Benefits system will be unavailable from 3 p.m. on Thursday, April 22, through 8 a.m. on Tuesday, April 27, for a major technical upgrade.

Cuyahoga County and the Cuyahoga Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) Coalition, led by Enterprise Community Partners, will host free tax preparation services February 12 through April 15, 2021. Due to the increased COVID-19 case reporting and test positivity in Cuyahoga County, the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) is taking additional steps to limit risk of exposure for both clients and employees. COVID-19 Emergency Assistance funds to help low to moderate income families impacted by COVID-19 with food, essential supplies, and housing costs will expire September 30, 2020.

Before, residents had to visit ten different websites to get all this information. Now it’s all in one place. The new website HHS.CUYAHOGACOUNTY.US has information from eight agencies so residents can easily find what they need.

The Ohio Development Services Agency and Cuyahoga County are helping income-eligible Ohioans maintain their utility service through the Home Energy Assistance (HEAP) Summer Crisis Program. The program helps eligible Ohioans pay an electric bill, purchase an air conditioning unit or fan, or pay for central air conditioning repairs. The program runs from July 1 through Sept. 30.
