Cuyahoga Hero 5K Walk

In recognition of National Child Abuse Prevention Month, more than 300 employees from the Cuyahoga County Division of Children and Family Services (DCFS), along with other County employees and community partners participated in the 2023 Cuyahoga Hero 5k walk on Wednesday, April 26th. The walk began and ended at the Jane Edna Hunter Building with a stop at the Cuyahoga County Administration Building in downtown Cleveland.

The walk was aimed at raising awareness about child abuse and the role that the community has in protecting children. Participants included Cuyahoga County Executive Chris Ronayne, elected officials, and representatives from various community organizations.

The walk was one of several events Cuyahoga County hosted in April to support children and families. To view pictures of the walk, click here. To learn more about what you can do to be a hero to a child, click here.
