CUYAHOGA COUNTY, OH – County Executive Chris Ronayne announced plans today to fill two senior level positions within the County’s Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS).

Executive Ronayne has submitted to County Council the nomination of Jacqueline Fletcher to serve as the Director of the Division of Children and Family Services (DCFS). Ms. Fletcher has worked for DCFS for over a decade, most recently as Interim DCFS Director. Prior to that role, she served locally and nationally as a deputy director at DCFS, a cross-systems liaison, and lead social worker.

“Jacqui’s lifelong commitment to serving our children and families is genuine and inspiring and has gone a long way to improving more, empowering staff, and better serving our community,” said County Executive Chris Ronayne. “Her experience and knowledge as well as approach to community collaboration, prevention, and placing kids’ needs first inspires me.”

Executive Ronayne will also appoint W. Christopher Murray II as the Deputy Director of Health and Human Services. Mr. Murray began his time with the County in 1992 as a Senior Budget Analyst for the Office of Budget and Management (OBM), eventually becoming OBM’s Director. His experience and oversight of finances and program development led to his role as Cuyahoga County Treasurer, where he has served since 2015. Mr. Murray has worked for the County for more than 30 years.

“I’ve tapped Chris to apply his financial knowledge and business experience to work with our public and private partners on human service needs and long-term responses to an increasingly challenging economy,” said Ronayne. “Knowing our systems and our staff, Chris will create the solutions we need to enhance our operations and ensure we’re providing the best services possible to our residents."
