Adoptable Kids
Adopting a child can be a rewarding and lifechanging experience. The Division of Children and Family Services is looking for families or single adults from all backgrounds who want to give a safe, loving, permanent home to children who need a family.
- Most children waiting for adoption are African American and Caucasian children ages 10 and older.
- Many are sibling groups who need to stay together, teenagers, or children who have special needs (including physical, emotional or mental disabilities).
- Adoptive families can include relatives, single parents, and same sex couples.

Takia and Trejon

Takia is a fun- loving, caring, helpful teen. Takia enjoys learning new things and is a determined student. Takia is very creative and enjoys engaging in artistic activities. She expresses her artistic abilities in making bracelets, doing nails, make up and changing her hairstyles. Takia enjoys participating in sports and has interest in playing football and being a part of the track & field team. She is adventurous and not afraid to try new things. Takia has demonstrated a passion in working with preschool aged children and being a positive role model. She aspires of going to cosmetology school after graduating from High School. Takia is looking for her forever family, she loves to be the center of attention from everyone and wants attention from a family that will be there through all her life goals and experiences. Takia is waiting for a family that will embrace and accept her.
Trejon is a fun guy who loves playing on his phone, tablet, and game systems. He will keep you smiling with his sense of humor. Trejon has taken a recent interest into music, making beats, and creating new sounds. Trejon enjoys praise and being told you are proud of him. Trejon’s relationship with his siblings is very important to him. He craves the love and support of a family who will be there for him through all life’s events.
