Adoptable Kids
Adopting a child can be a rewarding and lifechanging experience. The Division of Children and Family Services is looking for families or single adults from all backgrounds who want to give a safe, loving, permanent home to children who need a family.
- Most children waiting for adoption are African American and Caucasian children ages 10 and older.
- Many are sibling groups who need to stay together, teenagers, or children who have special needs (including physical, emotional or mental disabilities).
- Adoptive families can include relatives, single parents, and same sex couples.

Rashaad

Rashaad is an energetic youth. He is very articulate and likes to rap. Rashaad is also very artistic and can draw pictures very well. Rashaad enjoys superheroes, video games, working out, boxing, comic book characters and anime. Rashaad has a collection of action figures and he knows the backstories to a lot of the superheroes and the anime characters. Rashaad’s has said that his favorite color is blue. Rashaad likes to help others and is very helpful in the home. He is interested in learning his own independent living skills as a young man. Rashaad said that he enjoys playing basketball and is interested in becoming a basketball player and rapper when he grows up and he wants to be very rich. Rashaad has a good sense of humor and likes to make people laugh. He is looking forward to sharing his love, excitement, and joy in a forever home, with a forever family.
