Adoptable Kids
Adopting a child can be a rewarding and lifechanging experience. The Division of Children and Family Services is looking for families or single adults from all backgrounds who want to give a safe, loving, permanent home to children who need a family.
- Most children waiting for adoption are African American and Caucasian children ages 10 and older.
- Many are sibling groups who need to stay together, teenagers, or children who have special needs (including physical, emotional or mental disabilities).
- Adoptive families can include relatives, single parents, and same sex couples.

Nico is an outgoing, helpful, and active youth. He is in the eighth grade. He has no trouble making friends and gets along great with his peer group.
In his free time, he enjoys being active and playing basketball. He has expressed interests in others sports. He enjoys socializing and is often the leader of the pack. Nico is laid back and resilient. Some of his strengths include his positive attitude, openness to new things, and experiences, and his ability to make things fun!
He has individuals that he would like to maintain contact with. A family that is patient, nurturing, loving, and able to assist him as he develops would be a good fit for this youth.
