Adoptable Kids
Adopting a child can be a rewarding and lifechanging experience. The Division of Children and Family Services is looking for families or single adults from all backgrounds who want to give a safe, loving, permanent home to children who need a family.
- Most children waiting for adoption are African American and Caucasian children ages 10 and older.
- Many are sibling groups who need to stay together, teenagers, or children who have special needs (including physical, emotional or mental disabilities).
- Adoptive families can include relatives, single parents, and same sex couples.

April 2007Maurisa is a lovely and charming young lady who is always kind to others. Maurisa is a senior in high school. She enjoys going to school and hanging out with her friends. She also loves listening to music and watching her favorite shows. She loves animals and wants to make a positive impact in the world and is interested in pursuing a career in medicine.
Maurisa is bonded with her caregiver and extended family and will need an adoptive family who will keep these positive relationships in place.
