Adoptable Kids
Adopting a child can be a rewarding and lifechanging experience. The Division of Children and Family Services is looking for families or single adults from all backgrounds who want to give a safe, loving, permanent home to children who need a family.
- Most children waiting for adoption are African American and Caucasian children ages 10 and older.
- Many are sibling groups who need to stay together, teenagers, or children who have special needs (including physical, emotional or mental disabilities).
- Adoptive families can include relatives, single parents, and same sex couples.

January 2008Meet Lilliana who prefers to be called Lily! She is currently in high school working towards graduation and developing skills for independent living. She has a passion for skincare and makeup. She desires to be in the cosmetology field where she can explore her love of doing hair and makeup professionally. She also plans to go to law school so that she can become a lawyer.
Lily enjoys playing video games, listening to music, shopping, and hanging out with friends. She also enjoys playing volleyball and hopes to be on her school’s team next year.
Lily is a determined young lady who is striving for her independence. She needs a family who is patient, understanding, and supportive. A family who can provide her with guidance and assistance towards achieving her goals is ideal.
