Adoptable Kids

Adopting a child can be a rewarding and lifechanging experience. The Division of Children and Family Services is looking for families or single adults from all backgrounds who want to give a safe, loving, permanent home to children who need a family.

  • Most children waiting for adoption are African American and Caucasian children ages 10 and older.
  • Many are sibling groups who need to stay together, teenagers, or children who have special needs (including physical, emotional or mental disabilities).
  • Adoptive families can include relatives, single parents, and same sex couples.

Please take a look at our wonderful Adoptable Kids.

  • If you are a licensed Foster Caregiver or approved Adoptive Family requesting information about a specific child submit an inquiry and we’ll follow up with you.
  • If you are not a licensed Foster Caregiver or approved Adoptive Family please submit this interest form and we’ll get back to you.

Courtezz

November 2007
young man standing against a wall

Courtezz is a 14-year-old male. Courtezz displays as being bashful and not very talkative, but when you get to know him, he shows you a different side of himself. It takes a significant amount of time for him to open up to anyone. Courtezz does not make friends easily and he enjoys playing by himself. Courtezz is currently in the 8th grade. He has made some excellent strides with his academics.

Courtezz thrives for attention both at home and school. However, he struggles with regulating his emotions at times. Courtezz likes dinosaurs, sports, and playing video games. He does complete chores and will provide help when needed.

This endearing teenager needs an adoptive home where he can continue to make positive strides. He can be a very pleasant child. He needs a family who will give him unconditional love and commitment.
