Adoptable Kids
Adopting a child can be a rewarding and lifechanging experience. The Division of Children and Family Services is looking for families or single adults from all backgrounds who want to give a safe, loving, permanent home to children who need a family.
- Most children waiting for adoption are African American and Caucasian children ages 10 and older.
- Many are sibling groups who need to stay together, teenagers, or children who have special needs (including physical, emotional or mental disabilities).
- Adoptive families can include relatives, single parents, and same sex couples.

Antwan
January 2010Antwan is an intelligent youth. He is somewhat quiet and shy but comes out of his shell once you get to know him more. He loves to read and is joining his school’s band to play the drums or saxophone this upcoming year. He also enjoys outdoor activities such as swimming, roller skating, and going to family parties at the park with his current foster family. He also enjoys dancing.
He has other siblings that he desires to maintain a relationship with.
