Adopting a child can be a rewarding and lifechanging experience. The Division of Children and Family Services is looking for families or single adults from all backgrounds who want to give a safe, loving, permanent home to children who need a family.

  • Most children waiting for adoption are African American and Caucasian children ages 10 and older.
  • Many are sibling groups who need to stay together, teenagers, or children who have special needs (including physical, emotional or mental disabilities).
  • Adoptive families can include relatives, single parents, and same sex couples.

Please take a look at our wonderful Adoptable Kids.

  • If you are a licensed Foster Caregiver or approved Adoptive Family requesting information about a specific child submit an inquiry and we’ll follow up with you.
  • If you are not a licensed Foster Caregiver or approved Adoptive Family please submit this interest form and we’ll get back to you.

Angelique and Cheyenne

May 2006, December 2008
two sisters standing and smiling

Angelique (Angel as everyone calls her) and Cheyenne are two sisters who enjoy just being teenagers. They are outgoing, fun to be around and talkative. They have a sibling bond but at times they tend to get on one another’s nerves as some siblings do. Overall, they enjoy spending time together.

Angelique loves to do her hair. She likes to wear headbands to keep her hair out of her face. Angelique likes to play video games and can be very competitive. She is into fashion now that she is a teenager. Angelique likes music and plays an instrument.

Cheyenne is very inquisitive and enjoys talking. She likes to play outside and ride bikes. Cheyenne loves watching her favorite shows on television. Cheyenne loves to go to trampoline parks and jump on the trampolines.

These sisters would like to be adopted together. They would benefit from continued contact with significant people in their lives. They need a forever home.
