Veteran Homelessness

The Office of Homeless Services Advisory Board is committed to ending Veteran homelessness in Cuyahoga County by 2020.

The Office of Homeless Services works with several community partners to ensure that all Veterans in Cuyahoga County have access to safe emergency shelter and permanent housing.

  • Two agencies receive VA awarded grants to prevent Veteran homelessness if possible, and to rapidly re-house Veterans who are in shelter.
  • The Public Housing Authority works with the VA to administer long term rent subsidies through the VASH program for Chronically homeless Veterans.
