The Office of Homeless Services Advisory Board is committed to ending Veteran homelessness in Cuyahoga County by 2020.
The Office of Homeless Services works with several community partners to ensure that all Veterans in Cuyahoga County have access to safe emergency shelter and permanent housing.

- There are 6 community based agencies that provide Transitional Housing targeted to Veterans. These beds are funded 100% by the Veteran Administration.
- Two agencies receive VA awarded grants to prevent Veteran homelessness if possible, and to rapidly re-house Veterans who are in shelter.
- The Public Housing Authority works with the VA to administer long term rent subsidies through the VASH program for Chronically homeless Veterans.

The Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Veterans Treatment Court
The Cuyahoga County Common Pleas’ Veterans Treatment Court seeks to rehabilitate veterans and those with military experience suffering from substance use disorders by diverting them from the traditional criminal justice system and providing them with the tools to lead a more productive life.
