Adoptable Kids

Adopting a child can be a rewarding and lifechanging experience. The Division of Children and Family Services is looking for families or single adults from all backgrounds who want to give a safe, loving, permanent home to children who need a family.

  • Most children waiting for adoption are African American and Caucasian children ages 10 and older.
  • Many are sibling groups who need to stay together, teenagers, or children who have special needs (including physical, emotional or mental disabilities).
  • Adoptive families can include relatives, single parents, and same sex couples.

Please take a look at our wonderful Adoptable Kids.

  • If you are a licensed Foster Caregiver or approved Adoptive Family requesting information about a specific child submit an inquiry and we’ll follow up with you.
  • If you are not a licensed Foster Caregiver or approved Adoptive Family please submit this interest form and we’ll get back to you.

Johanna

Johanna is an intelligent and creative young lady who is passionate about her artistic talent. She enjoys sketching and writing poetry and short stories. Her passion isn’t wasted, she even won a national writing competition for one of her short stories which included a cash reward! It is no surprise that she excels at Creative Writing, English, and Literature in school, but she also holds her own in Science and Math.

When she is not busy with her academics, she is looking at the latest fashion to make sure she stays on top of the current trends. She styles her hair; does her nails; puts on her lashes; and manages to always coordinate it all with her outfit.

Johanna has a strong healthy bond with all her siblings (she has nine) and will need to maintain these relationships. She dreams of becoming a doctor and is looking forward to joining a family who will provide her with positive support, encouragement, and the resources and tools to help her achieve her goal.

If you are interested in adding this future Dr. Fashionista to your family, please her worker today!
