Adoptable Kids
Adopting a child can be a rewarding and lifechanging experience. The Division of Children and Family Services is looking for families or single adults from all backgrounds who want to give a safe, loving, permanent home to children who need a family.
- Most children waiting for adoption are African American and Caucasian children ages 10 and older.
- Many are sibling groups who need to stay together, teenagers, or children who have special needs (including physical, emotional or mental disabilities).
- Adoptive families can include relatives, single parents, and same sex couples.

Chrishawn and Jayda
October 2008 and May 2010Chrishawn and Jayda are siblings that enjoy spending time with their friends. Chrishawn enjoys spending time in the community, making music with his friends, working, and sleeping. Chrishawn is interested in a future career as a carpenter. While he is shy, he is also easy going, and funny.
Jayda enjoys making videos, listening to music, roller-skating, and eating Mexican food. Jayda is talkative, outspoken, and independent. Jayda loves to talk and is full of energy. She is interest in a future career in cosmetology/nails.
Chrishawn and Jayda can be very helpful and enjoy cooking. They need a family that is loving with structure and clear boundaries. The children need a forever family that will welcome them and include them in family events and day to day life.
